Beaver County, PA, just 30 minutes northwest of Pittsburgh, has exciting opportunities to experience everything you can think of in the great outdoors!  

 

Hiking, Biking, and Water Activities

Start your journey by hiking or biking through Brady’s Run Park, which offers 8 majestic trails for more than 12 miles of recreational opportunities plus many other activities within this 2,000-acre park. Explore Buttermilk Falls and let your mind wander while you gaze at a 40-foot scenic sandstone formation and waterfall. Are hiking, walking, and sightseeing in a picturesque setting your thing? Visit Sahli Nature Park which houses a butterfly nursery, or Raccoon Creek State Park where you can take in Frankfort Mineral Springs and the Wildflower Reserve. Not only can you appreciate the beauty of Raccoon’s 44 miles of trails, but you can also take a dip, go boating, kayaking, and even fish on their 101-acre lake.  You can also go fishing or take in other water fun at Brush Creek ParkHopewell Community Park, or Brady’s Run Park, among others.

 

 

Outdoor Adventures

Quench your need for speed and zoom around at 45 miles per hour on the 0.82-mile karting track or take in an autocross or motocross race at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Enjoy the ride on more than 84 miles of trails throughout 877 acres on your ATV or take a guided ATV tour through abandoned limestone mines at Mines & Meadows ATV/RV Resort.  

 

 

Golf and Polo

Hit the links at one of Beaver County’s 9 public golf courses including Rolling Acres Golf Course, a 27-hole course spread over 250 acres of sprawling countryside.  Fox Run Golf Course offers a country club experience at a public course along the Beaver River with wide open, tree-lined fairways. Test your skills at Western Pennsylvania’s premier golf destination Olde Stonewall Golf Club, ranked in the top 50 by Golf Digest. Attend a professional polo match at Darlington Polo Club. Established in 1937 Darlington Polo Club plays matches “under the lights” most Friday nights, offering a family-oriented atmosphere for new and old polo fans alike!
